Business Administration Diploma: Marketing Major, 2-year

This diploma program prepares students for many important positions in the field of business and marketing. The curriculum is designed to provide students with real-world education and experience necessary for a professional career in the fast-paced, ever changing marketing industry. You will study e-commerce, consumer behaviour, global marketing, advertising and promotion, and marketing research.


Marketing professionals are in high demand everywhere. Marketing graduates can secure employment in all sectors of the economy such as sales, customer service, public relations, promotions, distribution, direct marketing, advertising, and marketing research. Graduates are also well prepared to identify opportunities and develop marketing plans for their own entrepreneurial retailing or service ventures.

Admission Requirements:

High school diploma with a minimum of 50% in:

  • English 30-1 or English 30-2
  • Math 30-1 or Math 30-2

All applicants, regardless of citizenship of country of origin, must meet our English Language Proficiency requirement. Out-of-province applicants or those not meeting the admission and/or program requirements should refer to the Admissions section of the website.

Note: Students will be required to contact the Academic Advisor to discuss the selection and availability of elective courses. Timetabling restrictions may not allow students to choose from all the possible electives.

There are no program requirements for this program.

Graduation Requirements:

Students completing the requirements with a minimum 2.0 Grade Point Average (GPA) will be awarded a Business Administration: Marketing major diploma.

Transferability:

The Business Department strives to award maximum transferability to Business students from other colleges. Completion of the first year of Business Administration from other post-secondary institutions may be accepted as credit towards the first year of the Marketing major. Transfer credit will be granted for each course transferable to the Business Administration Marketing major if the grade achieved is at least a C or its equivalent. Contact the Enrolment Specialist if you would like assistance requesting transfer credit approval.
