This course provides an overview of the history and scope of the Child and Youth Care field, and the professional identity of Child and Youth Care Counsellors. Students are challenged to explore their values, beliefs, attitudes, and gain self-awareness when working with children, youth, and families in a variety of Child and Youth Care settings.
