Lecture Hours: 45 Lab Hours: 60 Course Description: The principle focus is identifying key habitats for the terrestrial vertebrate biodiversity of the Prairie Provinces. Wildlife habitat requirements, diets, distributions, and legal status designations are profiled for wildlife that range in the Prairie Provinces. Wildlife field signs are described and distinguished so they can be identified in the field. Concepts for conserving, managing, and enhancing wildlife habitats for biodiversity and to mitigate disturbances are introduced.
